A Woman was out golfing one day when she hit the ball into the woods. She went into the woods to look for it and found a frog in a trap.
The frog said to her, "If you release me from this trap, I will grant you three wishes."
The woman freed the frog, and the frog said, "Thank you, but I failed to mention that there was a condition to your wishes.
Whatever you wish for, your husband will get times ten!" The woman said, "That's okay." For her first wish, she wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the world. The frog warned her, "You do realize that this wish will also make your husband the most handsome man in the world, an Adonis whom women will flock to". The woman replied,"That's okay, because I will be the most beautiful Woman and he will have eyes only for me."
So, KAZAM-she's the most beautiful Woman in the world!
For her second wish, she wanted to be the richest woman in the world. The frog said, "That will make your husband the richest man in the world. And he will be ten times richer than you. " The woman said, "That's okay, because what's mine is his and what's his is mine." So, KAZAM-she's the richest woman in the world!
The frog then inquired about her third wish, and she answered, "I'd like a mild heart attack."
Moral of the story: Women are clever. Don 't mess with them.
Attention female readers: This is the end of the joke for you. Stop here and continue feeling good.
Male readers: Please scroll down.
The man had a heart attack ten times milder than his wife!!!
Moral of the story: Women are really dumb but think they're really smart.
Let them continue to think that way and just enjoy the show
PS: If you are a woman and are still reading this; it only goes to show that women never listen!!!
Posting this to all the guys for a good laugh, and to all the ladies who have a good sense of humour.
Just for fun:)

Martha's - Second Class Citizens

Let me share to you a Mary & Martha Bible story in a different light.
This is an excerpt from Bo Sanchez's.
Are Martha’s Second Class Citizens Of The Kingdom?
One day, Jesus visited his friends, Mary and Martha.
Mary was the quiet one who liked listening to Jesus.
Martha was the cook with the outgoing personality.
Honestly, this Bible story has disturbed a lot of Martha’s in the world. Because many people see themselves as Martha. Busy. Hardworking. Talkative.
Very few people see themselves as Mary.
Quiet. Contemplative. Reflective. Introspective.
Here’s the story from the Bible itself.
Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what He taught. But Martha was worrying over the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are so upset over all these details! There is really only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it—and I won’t take it away from her.” (Luke 10:38-42)
Because of this, a lot of Martha’s out there feel like they’re second class citizens of the Kingdom.
That’s why people believe that monks are holier than businessmen.
That contemplative nuns are holier than salespeople.
That hermits who live in deserts are holier than policemen, nurses, accountants, and laborers living in the world.
That’s not true.
Holiness has nothing to do with your personality or your job.
Holiness is all about love.
Let me say something that will change the way you interpret this story: Jesus wasn’t correcting Martha’s busyness. And he definitely wasn’t correcting Martha’s service. Jesus was correcting Martha’s “comparisonitis”.
If You’re Martha, Be Yourself!
Martha’s problem?
She kept comparing herself with Mary.
Comparisonitis is a spiritual disease that has become an epidemic. It’s the cause of much unpeace in our lives.
To drive home my point, let me change the story a bit.
What if the Bible story went this way…
While Martha was preparing dinner, Mary sat at the Lord’s feet, trying to listen to what He taught. And then Mary said, “Lord, can you tell my sister to stop all her work and sit here with us? Why can’t she be like me?” But the Lord said to her, “My dear Mary, you are so upset over this! There is really only one thing worth being concerned about. Martha has discovered it—and I won’t take it away from her.”
My point?
You can be a Martha and be at peace.
How? Be true to yourself.

I thank Bo for explaining this Bible passage in a different light. It gives more meaning other than just the normal preaching we hear from the priests or pastors. It gives justice to the ordinary people like you & me who seeks holiness in our lives but are not called to be monks, nuns, priest or other religious positions or post, whatever it is called.
Even in our daily activities no matter how ordinary it may be we can still honor God with what we do. We can still praise Him for being the best versions of ourselves.
Cheers to the better version of ourselves each day!

A TIME OF YOUR LIFE CONTINUES
Further in the summary of the audio book I was listening (Take Time for your Life by Cheryl Richardson)it says:
1. Regular down time is important.
Important for our sanity... holiday for thinking too much... chilax!
2. Pay people for chores you normally do.
Share the wealth! Take care of yourself at a higher level. Take a break!
3. Go through old stuff and throw much out of it.
This makes way for what you really want to come into your life... It's like asking, what's inside your back pack?
4. Don't fret over spending LESS time working.
Yes less time working! The world has a way of rewarding those who focus & better use of time.
5. Identify the drains your life.
People, places, situations that tax your mental energy. These are or who are the negative vibes of your life? If you can identify them or these things, get rid of them or avoid & slowly eliminate them.
6. Stop running on caffeine and adrenalin.
Fuel your body with premium fuel and it will provide strength and stamina to live well. Caring for our body is essential for living a quality life.
7. Continuously engineer more amazing moments into your life.
Bring back the soul. If your grateful, tell them. Write a journal. Notice your dreams.
8. Have a courage to seek your highest purpose instead of looking for another job.
This is my favorite! Looking for another job doesn't solve the problem of emptiness or meaning.
9. Take time for your financial health.
You've got to be serious about money before it gets serious about you.
It was also mentioned that success is NOT at all cost.
Would it matter if it costs your health? your family? ignored spouse & children? no time for self?
It also mentioned paying yourself first is the same principle Cheryl Richardson is teaching in her book on Extreme Self Care.
Let us work with our possibilities.
Let us take time to take care of our self then all other aspect of our lives would be taken care of too.
Our life is a composition of many of aspect.
Let's take time!

TAKE TIME FOR YOUR LIFE
Recently came across an audio summary of Cheryl Richardson's book entitled Take Time for your Life.

In a nutshell it summarizes the seven common obstacles of living the best of our lives.
1. Generally having difficulty putting the self first.
2. Schedule doesn't reflect the person's priorities.
3. Feel drained by certain people or things
4. Trapped for monetary reason
5. Living on adrenalin
6. No support of community in life
7. Spiritual well being comes last.
Sounds so simple & straight forward but isn't it true?
When I heard it, it made me pause & think.
Yes, I am not having the best life because my schedule doesn't reflect my priorities. My schedule is driven with "things to do"... not things I really wanted to do with my life.
Honestly, yes, people, things & situations do drain me. These are suckers of positive energy....
God knows how much effort I exert to shrug it off my life!
Of course! Bills, tuitions, mortgage, credit cards, expenses & to mention, tax are life's entrapment! At a certain point in time, we become slaves and they are our masters. It dictates how life works.
How in the world can I totally get rid of these stuff? Or can I ever get rid of them?
Looking forward to eliminate these suckers one at a time!
To the live we want!
Cheers!

ELECTION FEVER CONTINUES
Did Manny Villar just conceded gracefully by apologizing when he cast his vote early this morning?
I am not sure if I did hear it right but it sounds like Villar conceded, gracefully though.
He was sorry for those whom he unintentionally hurt during the campaign period.
Oh well that was so nice of him but remember the damage has been done.
I hope to find a news article about it.
For the mean time, let's continue to monitor...
God helps the Philippines!

HALALAN 2010, ELEKSYON 2010
How was your automated election voting experience was today?
This automated election process spared no one from system breakdown or system glitch. Even the presidential candidate Noynoy Aquino was not spared from waiting for over four hours of waiting.

MOTHER'S DAY & ELECTION DAY

Happy Mother's day to all moms!
Let's celebrate all our mothers; biological, spiritual, superficial,,, just kidding!
To all moms & playing the role of a mom, happy mother's day!
I called my mom to greet her a happy mother's day. After several exchange of conversation where else did the topic leads to? ELECTION!
"It is your moral obligation to exercise your right of suffrage", I was told.
Yes, it is a moral obligation. But my question is, "Is there a moral candidate worthy for such moral obligation to be exercised?"
Oh well, the right of suffrage or voting as commonly called is also one of the ways to show your love to your mother land.
It is also an expression of being patriotic.
But sometimes, these are not just enough.
Several write up says this election will make or break of our beloved country, the Philippines.
But why would you depend the hope of your country to whimsical politicians whose intentions at the onset are as questionable.
Mudslinging here & there, black propaganda on national television, news, current events, topic of every conversation... Just to mention they spend so much money just to destroy the other party. To over emphasize, money spent for these unworthy activities are not even theirs! It is our money. To be exact, to all tax payers who works 5 days a week & give 2 days to these politicians for these kind of activities! Money well spent huh!
Oh let me get back to the topic... moral obligation...
Is there indeed a moral candidate whose worthy for my moral obligation to be exercised?
Yes, there maybe a few, your counting fingers would be too much.
But pretty sure baby, they are unknown to many.
Pretty certain that they don't have the funds to use national television to hire someone to praise them or maybe even print posters for people to see.

Well, you might say that it's not who you vote but the act or exercising such right to vote...
The paranoid me says, "why would I give them the chance to use my ballot as another point to cheat on?"
Help me God, I am an optimistic person but I have to have loads of optimism to have a hope in our voting system, in the very government that so calls protect the election process, in the very people who runs it and even with the people who votes.
Pardon me for saying the latter but after some thought I can't help but conclude that at some point we are to blame for what this country has become.
Particularly for this election process, just maybe, no one will buy vote if no one can be bought.
Or even if all would exercise their right to vote so that their intelligent choice could be counted in. (in consideration of fully functional automated system; not faulty or to short & sweet, an honest election).
But for me, for now...
I will just put my hope in my God, for our Mother Land.
Oh, let me rephrase it...
I will only put my hope in my God, for my future!
God Bless our mother land, Philippines!
