My next career lesson says: IT'S NOT ALL YOU
Oh really?! In the corporate world, climbing that ladder, how it can't be about me?
If it's a career that's worthwhile, it's about adding value to what you do, it is more importantly adding value to the lives you work with.
Adding to that, it is about helping our customers.
After all we have our jobs because these customers need our services or products.
Our careers is not just about doing our task list, fulfilling our job responsibilities.
It is also abut relationship.
The people we give service & the people we work with, be it our superiors or subordinates, we use our jobs, even our special talents in the service of others.
This way we also improve our own lives.
This gives our day to day work a whole lot more meaningful.
That's why sometimes it's also but fitting to remind ourselves that IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU!
